Work Expectations
No Work = No Credit
|
Join me CanvasClasswork/HomeworkThere is WORK EVERY DAY!!! Please check the assignment tab (found above) for the exact assignment.
You can also access notes and download a copy of any paper/worksheet given out in class. This means that YOU are in charge of your education. If you are out on any given day, I will expect you to try to do the work for the day unless YOU have a doctors excuse for YOURSELF. I supply you with access of notes, video lessons (as soon as I can make them or just do a you tube search) and the worksheet. Flipping the Classroom-letter to parents Flipping the Classroom-video You should spend about 20 minutes per day on math, even if you have finished the assignment, reviewing material or reworking problems is a valid form of studying. “Looking over notes” usually doesn't help unless there is pencil meeting the paper. |

Techonology for the classroom
You will need to have access to computers either at home or at a local library. There will be assignments requiring student to view videos, accessing activities online on a variety of topics. I have a letter that you are welcome to read over that explains the "Flipped" classroom as well as a video. Please take the time to read and/or watch.
My Tutoring timesI tutor EVERY morning from 7:30-8:00 am Afternoon tutoring is by APPOINTMENT only. Students are welcome to see other teachers for tutoring. Students need to be come prepared for tutoring with questions. ***Please do not come in and say “I don’t understand anything”. It is the student’s responsibility to come just as prepared for tutoring as they should come prepared for class. The main purpose of tutoring is to go over missed material due to an absence (get notes form someone in class and go over them before attending tutoring), to make up or recover tests, and to ask specific questions from a quiz, a test, a task, or a homework assignment. A “specific question” means that there has been an attempted to work the problem first and there should be evidence that it has been attempted. Make sure to have paper, pencil and questions ready as soon as you walk in the door for tutoring.***
